What Are You Good At?

Definitely exactly what makes your practice unique is important. We each need to know what we are good at. I’ve been thinking about that at the Acupuncture Marketing Journal. What am I good at?
I’m not a marketer.  I’m not a business guru. I am good at putting people in touch with information they might need.  I’ve been a librarian and I love being able to help people find the information they need.  I feel no need to know it, to teach it. I just like knowing where to look and being able to “put the book in people’s hands” so to speak.
I need to start focusing on linking to other sites about marketing more here. That’s what I’m good at and originally I started this blog for that purpose. However, there aren’t a lot of people writing about marketing for complementary healthcare providers and I wanted to avoid constantly linking to the same sites.
I might constantly link to the same sites, but I want to be a comprehensive place where people can find the marketing information they need. I need to get this blog back on track.
Yes, sometimes I will share thoughts about things that are and are not working for me. Yes, I will continue to give opinions (I love doing that too!).
All of this focus has made me think about how I can apply these ideas to my practice as well. How can I focus my practice so it takes advantage of my talents and what I love to do? How am I off track–or not?

Hey,
I really love what you do here. It is hard when you’re in a small niche - you find yourself linking to the same folks, barking up the same old trees… but the service you provide is invaluable, and more resources will spring up from time to time.
As a 3rd year student of Classical Chinese medicine, I have really enjoyed using what you offer to begin thinking about what I can do in my practice.
Thanks!
Eric
Thanks for the compliment Eric. Nice blog. I’ll have to keep an eye on it.
