Do You Give Away Too Much?

I was reading a post called Giving Away the Cow, which is a general way to increase return visits from patients. The author suggests that sometimes as practitioners we give our patients too much.
Sometimes we may do that, eager to exceed expectations. However, he talks about patients being overwhelmed with the amount of information given.
I know that I’ve done that and I’ve had practitioners do that.  I don’t think there’s a set amount of information to give out but we need to remember that our patients will have a lot to process just from being needled. We don’t need to tell them everything the first visit!
