Creating Time for A Vacation

Posted on June 23, 2007 - Filed Under Uncategorized |

I know this isn’t strictly about marketing, but it does go to your attitude about your practice. When do you take a vacation? How much do you take? I realize that vacation time can eat into your profits but you’ll be more rested and do better if you actually take some time off. It’s amazing.

The Alternative Health Practice Blog has an article on booking your entire year NOW. That’s right. Figure out when you want to take a vacation now and then schedule it in your book. This will make it easier for you to say no to those things that just happen to come up about the time you are thinking of taking a bit of time off.

Another reason to plan your year now is that it may get you to look back at your appointment books from past years. When were you busiest. When were the slow months?  If you have a certain consistency in your busy months versus slow months, you may be able to plan around when you tend to be a bit slower. If for some reason that vacation won’t fit into a slow month, then perhaps you can add some extra marketing tasks that you can begin the month prior to your usual slow time.
